CIMC Vehicles R1.5 Foaming Equipment Project Successfully Upgraded

On April 13, 2018, the ceremony for accepting the upgrade of CIMC Vehicles (Group)’s R1.5 foaming equipment project was held in Qingdao. With this project being successfully accepted, the Group has brought its manufacturing of reefer trailers to a new high, with productivity and product quality to be leading in Europe.
CIMC Vehicles ?has been using “upgrading of production lines and reshaping of structures” as an important measure for maintaining competitiveness globally. The upgrade of R1.5 foaming equipment is a group-level project with the aim of further improving core technology of foaming and enhancing foaming efficiency and quality of reefer trailers. This project is developed jointly by Qingdao CIMC Reefer Trailer Co., Ltd. and CIMC Vehicles Shandong Co., Ltd. under the guidance of CIMC Vehicles (Group)’s lighttower project team. A full-scale upgrade of R1.5 which produces the core foaming equipment for reefer trailers has been achieved after more than one year’s joint efforts.
It is reported that Qingdao CIMC Reefer Trailer has replaced its existing presses featuring old structures with two R1.5 (2 2) presses and realized the digital connection of production through the MES system, completing the iteration and upgrading of its manufacturing technology. CIMC Vehicles Shandong, through this project, learnt about the core processes for producing foaming equipment of reefer trailers and realized a breakthrough from scratch. The successful upgrade of R1.5 project will create more business opportunities for CIMC Vehicles ?to expand in both domestic and overseas market for its reefer trailers.?
